Society stigmatizes women because they have periods. What if, instead of treating periods as some terrible affliction women should be ashamed of and protected from, we treated them like the naturally occurring, no big deal that they are?
Our Global Platform Idea for Kotex won in a competitive pitch between various Ogilvy offices from around the world. In partnership with Ogilvy's sister agencies in Australia, Russia, and Argentina, we produced integrated regional campaigns focusing on real women who are out there owning it... period or not. As a result of our campaign, U by Kotex is now the #1 selling brand in Australia.
